A little help
finding your way.

Start with these checks. If something still isn’t right, send the studio enough detail to reproduce it.

Before contacting us

  • Check the App Store listing for available updates and the current device requirements.
  • If a sky view looks unfamiliar, check the observing location and time. A preview may not show the sky above you now.
  • If a target cannot be seen, consider cloud cover, nearby obstructions and whether it is above your horizon. Map visibility does not guarantee naked-eye visibility.
  • For location-related issues, review AstraScope’s permissions in your device settings. Do not grant permissions you are uncomfortable sharing.

New to observing? Read our first-night guide for preparation and safety.

This website

Privacy, in context.

This website’s source contains no analytics tags, advertising pixels, sign-up forms or location requests. You do not need an account to read these pages. The hosting service may process technical request information to operate the site.

The sky-direction tool uses JavaScript to interpret two numbers you enter. Those entries remain in the current page: they are not uploaded, saved in browser storage or read from device sensors. The tool does not request location, identify an object or fetch a live forecast.

The app is a separate product. For its published privacy information, use the app’s existing privacy page and the disclosures on its App Store listing. This website does not replace the app’s policy. Our weather-data guide explains what to check when a forecast comes from an external provider.

App Store, NASA, weather-provider websites, the app privacy page and email links take you to external services with their own privacy practices. Sending an email shares the information you choose to include with the recipient and your email provider.
